Sixth Form Admissions

The Dr Challoner’s Grammar School Sixth Form is a place of academic and personal aspiration, where students and staff work together to achieve exciting and inspiring outcomes. Its co-educational atmosphere fosters teamwork and creativity, enhanced by terrific student leadership opportunities. Our aim is to enhance students’ education up to the age of 16 with an experience that adds wisdom and the chance to develop a personal sense of purpose, integrity and service that can sustain students into adulthood.

Dr Challoner’s Grammar School is a co-educational Sixth Form offering places in accordance with our Admissions Policy. Successful candidates must meet a minimum level of overall success at GCSE. Timeline for Sixth Form Admissions 2027

  • Thursday 19 November 2026 - Sixth Form Open Evening - registration opens
  • Monday 7 December 2026 at 15:00 - Closing date for submitting an online application
  • Notification of offers will be sent by email in April 2027
  • Induction Morning - End of June 2027 - Thursday 24 June 2027 to be confirmed (09:00-12:00)
  • Monday 6 September 2027 - Team Building Day
  • Tuesday 7 September 2027 - Term / lessons start

The Sixth Form Open Evening for students interested in joining the Sixth Form in September 2027 is on Thursday 19 November 2026. Information on how to register your interest for a place will be available in November 2026.
